Residential

New Struan School offers a residential experience for up to 39 weeks a year providing a 24 hour programme of education and care.

Our Approach
What is autism?

Autism is a lifelong developmental condition which affects the way a person communicates, interacts and views the world around them.

Curriculum

The overarching objective of our curriculum is to achieve positive learning outcomes and progress for each child.

Why a specialist school?

Education is delivered by teachers experienced in supporting young people with autism in a purpose-built environment.

Therapies

Our multi-disciplinary approach includes input from the fields of Speech and Language Therapy, Psychological Analysis and Music Therapy.

What we do

We create individualised education plans which take account of each child’s unique strengths and motivations.

Transitions

We develop detailed transition support plans for each of our pupils to support them into and out of the school environment.

About Us

New Struan School is an independent residential and day school for young people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

We are here to provide the best possible education and continue to lead the way in our approach and understanding of how young people with autism learn and develop.

Situated in the central belt of Scotland, we have delivered education for over 35 years. We are proud of our reputation for excellence and continually strive for our pupils to meet and exceed expectations.
